About Me

Who I Am & My Journey

My name is Anne Hampson, and I am a registered MSW Social Worker. Four years ago, I began my own journey with horses when I chose to train in providing Equine Facilitated Wellness services through The Professional Association of Equine Facilitated Wellness (Pro-EFW). At that point, I had already been a practicing therapist for several years but sought to offer services in a more innovative way, beyond the conventional therapy setting. This marked the beginning of my training and personal journey with horses.

Throughout my personal journey, I discovered the tremendous benefits that therapy, especially with the companionship of a four-legged friend, can have on clients, as it significantly improved my own mental well-being. It has become a true honor for me to offer Equine Assisted Therapy, and I am eager to be a part of your horse journey as well.

Qualifications & Pro-EFW

I am a registered social worker in the province of Alberta and hold a Master’s in Social Work (MSW). I have been a practicing therapist for many years and have worked with youth, men, and women. I have currently been working towards registration with the Professional Association for Equine Facilitated Wellness (Pro-EFW), to better support my facilitation of Equine Assisted Therapy. This service may be covered through certain insurance plans if there is coverage for therapy services offered by MSW social workers.
