“Horses are intuitive animals, and if you learn to listen to them, they’ll teach you more than you will ever teach them.”
– Rachel Wolf 1
Our Approach
Wild Equine Therapy aims to create a nurturing environment for clients with the help of our equine partners in the outdoors. We recognize that healing can take many forms, and Equine Assisted Therapy is one of those avenues. Our method merges the instinctive qualities of horses with traditional therapy models.
How Equine Assisted Therapy Can Help:
Offers supportive co-regulation with another living being
Provides space to reflect while engaging with animals
Provides a setting outside of the typical therapy room
Horses are intuitive beings and can connect with us in profound ways
Horses are often very in tune with the emotions and nervous systems of others around them
Treatment For Mental Health:
At Wild Equine Therapy, we know that life isn’t always easy, and healing often cannot happen in isolation. That’s why, with the help of equine partners, we provide a safe space for anyone in need of support seeking continued growth.
We combine different mental health models and Equine Assisted Therapy including:
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
Pain Reprocessing Therapy (PRT)
Trauma Informed Practice
Mindfulness Practices
Nervous System Regulation
Client Centered Counselling
All Equine Assisted Therapy is provided in person at the Peaceful Pastures Equine Facilitated Learning Facility near Strathmore, Alberta.
We support all areas of mental health and healing. Book a free 20-minute virtual consultation:
